Atlantic City fire chief resigns over dropped pants incident

ATLANTIC CITY (WPVI) -- The South Jersey fire chief caught on camera dropping his pants has resigned.

Atlantic City Fire Chief Dennis Brooks was put on paid administrative leave earlier this month when surveillance video surfaced from the public safety building.

A female security guard told investigators she asked Brooks to remove all metal items and instead he dropped his pants.

He quickly pulled them back up and allegedly said "I am having a bad day."

The incident happened in February.
