NORRISTOWN, Pa. (WPVI) -- The American Red Cross and firefighters visited homes in a Norristown neighborhood Sunday spreading the word about fire safety.

They made their way along the 1000 block of Markley Street where 12-year-old Sanford Harling died in a fire on Friday.

The volunteers and firefighters talked with residents about fire prevention and handed out a checklist that they can use to make sure their homes are safe.
