Arrest in Boothwyn hit-and-run crash

BOOTHWYN, Pa. (WPVI) -- Authorities say they've made an arrest in a hit-and-run crash that injured a pedestrian in Boothwyn, Delaware County.

The crash happened around 7:00 p.m. Tuesday along on the 500 block of Conchester Highway.

Police say Javier Cruz Alvarez was behind the wheel of the vehicle that struck a pedestrian.

The extent of the pedestrian's injuries are unknown but the victim is still hospitalized.

Alvarez was arrested and arraigned on Wednesday and remains behind bars.
