Assault in West Deptford caught on video; suspect sought

WEST DEPTFORD, N.J. (WPVI) -- Police are looking for the man who was caught on video punching the maintenance supervisor of an apartment complex in West Deptford, New Jersey.

The incident happened around 8:45 a.m. Friday morning at the Westwood Court Apartments on Tatum Street.

According to investigators, the man began throwing sticks at the window of one of the apartments.

That maintenance supervisor saw him and asked the suspect to leave.

The suspect began to argue, started filming the supervisor with his cell phone, then put the phone right in front of his face.

The suspect then struck him with the phone.

The supervisor was knocked to the ground and suffered some minor injuries.

The suspect then fled in a silver four-door vehicle with an unknown temporary registration.
