Boil water advisory issued for Kennett Square

KENNETT SQUARE, Pa. (WPVI) -- A boil water advisory has been issued for the entire borough of Kennett Square, Chester County.

The advisory is in effect due to a water main break that occurred on Saturday.

Officials are telling residents to not drink the water without boiling it first.

Residents are urged to use boiled or bottled water for drinking, making ice, washing dishes, brushing teeth, and food preparation until further notice.

In the advisory notice, officials say the water main is being "repaired as quickly as possible."
