Police say a masked man in a moving car pelted a boy with a paintball gun in the Juniata Park section of Philadelphia.

JUNIATA PARK (WPVI) -- Police say a masked man in a moving car pelted a boy with a paintball gun in the Juniata Park section of Philadelphia.

The incident happened when the 10-year-old boy was walking home with his father and brother from the 7-Eleven store at K and Luzerne streets.

According to police, a vehicle described as a green Honda drove by and the passenger in the rear seat fired three shots from the paintball gun.

The boy was hit in the eye. He was taken to St. Christopher's Hospital with a bad welt on his face.

He is listed in stable condition.

None of the other family members were injured.

Police believe this was a random attack.
