36-year-old Quentin Parker of Levittown, Pa. is a doctor of internal medicine for the Aria Health system.

PENNDEL, Pa. -- A doctor from Bucks County, Pa. has been arrested on child pornography charges.

Quentin Parker, 36, of Dark Leaf Lane in Levittown, was arrested on Thursday.

Police say he was a medical resident doing rotations at several area hospitals.

According to a criminal complaint filed by the Penndel Police Department, the internal medicine resident downloaded 58 images and videos depicting 9 to 13-year-old female children engaged in sex acts from April 19th to June 3rd.

Police say they executed a search warrant on Thursday and located the images.

Penndel Police Chief Joseph Sciscio says, "He was surprised and he was upset because being his profession he realized the ramifications for these charges."

Parker confessed to downloading and viewing the images and videos, police alleged in the criminal complaint.

Chief Sciscio says, "The question was asked, did he know what he was doing was illegal. And he said he did."

Police tell Action News they found IDs for several area hospitals in Parker's home. He told police he completed or was completing rotations at Aria Torresdale, Aria Bucks and Hahnemann University Hospital, but claims he had not completed any pediatric rotations.

In a statement, Aria Health said:

"Immediately upon receiving this information, Aria responded by placing the individual on administrative leave as the investigation proceeds. At this time, there is no indication that there were any inappropriate activities in relationship to Aria patients."

Parker also had a St. Christopher's Hospital for Children parking permit on his car. The hospital says he participated in a four week rotation in the emergency department in 2013, but has not had access to their facilities since that time.

Neighbors in the doctor's normally quiet neighborhood were surprised to hear the news.

Ed Long, who lives nearby, tells us, "He needs to be arrested. Get him out of here. We got kids all over the place."

Neighbor Steven Gokh says, "There's a lot of that age group children, play around here all the time - every day."

Not only do children play in the area, but feet from parker's home there is a bus stop ... and that has several neighbors on edge.

All of the hospitals where Parker did his rotations have said while he was part of the physicians training program he was not employed by any of those hospitals.

Parker remains at the Bucks County Prison on $150,000 bail.
