Bucks County firefighter charged in assault appears in court

BENSALEM, Pa. (WPVI) -- A Bucks County firefighter charged with kidnapping and assault went before a judge in Bensalem.
21-year-old Shane McMichael arrived Tuesday morning for his preliminary hearing.
Police say on October 4th, McMichael forced his way into the home of a 17-year-old girl, then beat and choked her.
Police claim McMichael has confessed.
McMichael remains in jail on $2-million bail.
