CAMDEN, N.J. (WPVI) -- A Camden County police officer's use of deadly force was ruled legally justified Thursday, and the officer will not face criminal charges.

The incident dates back to November 2015 at Independence Village Apartments on Rutledge Walk.

A state and county investigation determined 24-year-old Freddy Baez fired first at officers, who were responding to a domestic violence call.

They returned fire, killing Baez.
