Car crashes into Del. children's hospital entrance following multi-vehicle accident

TALLEYVILLE, Del. (WPVI) -- A car veered out of control for several blocks in Delaware Sunday morning before crashing into part of the entrance of a hospital.

The incident occurred around 9:30 a.m. at the intersection of Route 141 and Childrens Drive in Talleyville.

Police say there was a multiple vehicle accident at that scene.

One of the vehicles involved the crash ended up several blocks away, striking bushes and traffic signs along the way.

The vehicle ended up crossing Rockland Road and crashing into a concrete wall at the entrance to Alfred I duPont Hospital for Children.

The male driver of the vehicle was flown to Christiana Hospital.

His condition is not known.

No other injuries from the multi-vehicle crash have been reported.
