WYNNEFIELD (WPVI) -- A car sale-turned-robbery that led to police chase through two counties ended in a crash and one arrest early Monday.

It all began on the 6000 block of City Avenue in the Wynnefield section of Philadelphia near Moore Hall, a St. Joseph's University dormitory.

Police say sometime on Sunday a man saw a car he wanted to buy and connected with the would-be seller around 11:00 p.m. Sunday on City Avenue.

The victim wanted to test drive the car, and that's when, police say, the seller and another suspect tried to rob him.

The victim couldn't get out of the car, and the car sped off with all three inside.

Police were alerted and pursued the car into Delaware County, when the car lost control and crashed into a fence in the 1600 block of South Wycombe Avenue in Lansdowne.

One suspect fled on the foot and remains at large. Police took the other into custody.

The victim was not hurt.

A full investigation is underway.

Investigators are asking anyone with information about the case to contact Philadelphia Police.
