Car slams into Northeast Philadelphia apartment building

A car slammed into an apartment building on Tuesday morning in Northeast Philadelphia.

The crash happened at 11:20 a.m. in the 9500 block of Academy Road.

The view from Chopper 6 HD showed a dark-colored car with the front end partially inside the building.

The car was moved back, showing a gaping hole in the side of the apartment complex.

Investigators are now on the scene checking out the structural integrity of the building.
