CAUGHT ON VIDEO: Money stolen from donation box inside Mayfair business

MAYFAIR (WPVI) -- Authorities are looking for the woman who stole money from a donation box inside an eye care facility in Philadelphia's Mayfair section.

The incident happened around 1:00 Friday afternoon at Krystal Vision Eyecare on the 6500 block of Roosevelt Boulevard.

A woman was captured on surveillance video taking the donation box and putting it into her bag, while customers were standing just a few feet away.

A receptionist says the woman then asked for the bathroom key.

Employees say she emptied the box and left it in the bathroom.

Collections are put in the donation box to be given to the needy during the holidays.

There is no word on how much money was taken.

Anyone who recognizes the suspect is urged to contact Philadelphia Police.
