A long care nursing facility for children had to be evacuated early Saturday morning after a propane tank outside began to leak in Plumstead Twp.

PLUMSTEAD TWP., Pa. (WPVI) -- A long care nursing facility for children had to be evacuated early Saturday morning after a propane tank outside began to leak in Plumstead Twp., Bucks County.

The incident was reported around 5:20 a.m. at the Pedia Manor Nursing home on the 6000 block of Durham Road.

After the staff noticed the leaking propane tank, several ambulances were called to the scene.

Firefighters also arrived and assisted in evacuating the thirteen children, including patients on ventilators.

Some were taken to a nearby hospital while others were bused to another home in Milford.

Fortunately no one was injured.

No word why the tank toppled.
