Coffee bar robbery in South Philadelphia caught on camera

SOUTH PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Police are investigating an armed robbery inside a coffee bar in South Philadelphia.

It happened on January 18 at the Ultimo Coffee Bar located at 1900 South 15th Street.

Police say the gunman walked into the coffee bar at 9 p.m. and pulled a handgun on the clerk behind the counter, demanding money.

He can be seen on surveillance walking behind the counter and grabbing money from the employee before walking to a rear register and taking money from there.

The robber then exchanged some words with the clerk before fleeing west on Mifflin Street.

There were no reports of any injuries.

The suspect is described by police as a black male, 20 years-old, 6'0" tall with a thin build and beard. He was wearing a dark gray hooded sweatshirt, gray North Face jacket and a light blue coat.
