WILLINGBORO, N.J. (WPVI) -- Police have arrested a Willingboro School District employee for the theft of 12 iPads.

40-year-old Fardarie Mitchell, a Crisis Intervention Counselor, has been charged with one count of Theft.

The theft was reported on September 9th.

Police say Mitchell had access to the iPads while working with a summertime program at the Twin Hills Elementary School.

He is believed to have acted alone.

The 12 missing iPads, valued at approximately $5,000, have not been recovered.

At this time, police say there is no connection between this incident and the previous theft of Apple iPads from the school district that was reported in February 2013.
