A couple was rescued after strong winds caused their sailboat to capsize on the Delaware River.

NEW CASTLE, Del. (WPVI) -- A couple was rescued after strong winds caused their sailboat to capsize on the Delaware River.

It happened just before 5:45 p.m. Sunday, just off Battery Park in New Castle, Delaware.

Officials say the couple was thrown into the river after strong winds blew in, causing the boat to overturn.

Marine units responded and rescued the couple, who are OK.
