VIDEO: Crimefighters: Who killed James Lindsey?
A man who went to run an errand for his fiance was later found fatally shot in his car in Camden.

CAMDEN, N.J. (WPVI) -- Inger Brown misses her brother every day.

"A loving brother, a loving uncle. He loved all his nieces and nephews," said Brown.

In the overnight hours of Tuesday, April 8, 2014, James Lindsey was at home with his fianc Briana Ferguson.

Ferguson was pregnant at the time and asked Lindsey to go to the store for her.

"I was six months pregnant and I was in pain and thirsty so I told him to just go get me a Tylenol and a juice, that's it," said Ferguson.

But 33-year-old Lindsey never returned.

His body was found at 12:40 a.m. in the driver's side seat of a 2001 beige Mercury Grand Marquis.

The car was parked in the lot of the All American Garden Apartments at 8th and Jefferson Streets in Camden.

"At this point we have a good direction but we are looking for the public to provide us with more information so we can solve this case and give this family some closure," said Detective Mike Rhoads, Camden County Prosecutor's Office.

With Lindsay's murder, Ferguson says it will be especially tough on her baby.

"It just hurts because my son don't know his dad," she said.

"If they killed that person they could very well likely kill someone else close to your family, close to my family. We want to get these people off the streets," said Det. Rhoads.

The Citizen's Crime Commission is administering a $1,000 reward for anyone with information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible.

All you need to do is call 215-546-TIPS (8477). All calls will remain anonymous.
