Nearly three years ago, a man was found beaten to death in a South Philadelphia home and a reward is being offered to find his killer.

SOUTH PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- In 2012, a man was found beaten to death in a South Philadelphia home and more than $20,000 is being offered to find his killer.

"We haven't learned anything new on the case," said Diane Fox, mother.

It's been nearly 3-years since Michael Fox was taken from his family.

His mother says the not knowing what happened has turned her grief into anger.

"Your emotions go all over the place, you become angry now because you want answers," said Fox.

Around midnight on Friday June 22, 2012, police were called to a home on the 900 block of South 8th Street in South Philadelphia.

They found the body of 30-year-old Fox in his third floor bedroom.

He had been beaten to death and police say his body had been there for two days.

"We're just hoping that when this airs, it will trigger someone's memory. We truly believe that, if not one person, more than one person knows exactly what happened," said Fox.

The Citizens Crime Commission is administering a $1,000 reward and the City of Philadelphia is posting up to $20,000 for anyone with information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible.

All you have to do is call 215-546-TIPS (8477). All calls will remain anonymous.

While it's been hard, Fox says they are coping.

"We do things to keep his memory alive, we did a scholarship, we did a buddy bench, we walk around the city on his birthday and put posters up. He's greatly missed, he's greatly missed," she said.
