OLNEY (WPVI) -- Back in 2003, a suspicious fire claimed the lives of five people in Olney and now up to $100,000 is being offered to find the person responsible.

The fire erupted on November 18, 2003 at 3:30 a.m., in a home on the 100 block of Widener Street.

Four members of the Santiago Family were killed including the oldest of five brothers - 23-year-old John Santiago.

Also killed were Santiago's wife Clarissa and their three month old daughter Jacqueline.

The 4th victim killed was the family matriarch Francesca DeJesus.

A couple weeks later, a 5th victim, 17-year old Alex Santiago died from his injuries.

Fire officials are investigating this as a case of arson after the discovery of the remains of a plastic container in the living room that had remnants of a flammable liquid inside.

"That night there were numerous calls that came in to 911. One of the calls in particular that we're interested in, the caller, if they can reach out to us, they stated, 'They just fire bombed the house.' They saw it happen," said Santo Montecalvo, Citizens Crime Commission.

The Citizens Crime Commission is administering a reward of up to $100,000 for the arrest and conviction of the person responsible.

"If you saw somebody or these individuals do this act, I just can't fathom how you can live with yourself knowing that five people died," said Montecalvo.

All you have to do is call 215-546-TIPS (8477). All calls will remain anonymous.
