Crimefighters: Who gunned down father of 6?

Harold Gordon was known to family and friends as "Terrell" and "Poly Man," and his mother says he was a family man and a father of six.

"He had a lot of joy in his life, he was happy," said Doris Cobbs.

On January 3, 2015, Gordon was watching one of his sons when his aunt says he got a phone call.

"Supposedly he had a call saying, 'man come help me out, these guys up here doing something at this basketball court," said Linda Cobbs.

Gordon went to that friend's house around five o'clock in the 1000 block of Division Street in Camden.

The friend wasn't home.

That's when, police say, Gordon was shot multiple times.

"It appears that he might have just been in the wrong place at the wrong time," said Det. Sherman Lee Hopkins Jr. of the Camden County Prosecutor's Office.

The family gathered at Cooper University Hospital and stood vigil by Gordon for days.

He unfortunately succumbed to his injuries on January 23rd.

"He did not deserve what happened to him," said Linda Cobbs.

"It's frustrating to talk to the families because you want to give them justice and understanding the legal process and what we have to go through to get witnesses to come forward and have the courage to do the right thing," said Det. Hopkins.

The Citizens Crime Commission is administering a $3,500 reward for the arrest and conviction of the person responsible.

All you have to do is call 215-546-TIPS.

All calls will remain anonymous.
