CAMDEN, N.J. (WPVI) -- The youngest of five adult children was gunned down in Camden after a night out with friends. Now his siblings are hoping a reward will help police nab the killer.
Lourdes Rivera remembers her youngest brother Sergio fondly.
"He was just like a ray of sunshine, he would help anyone in need. He had a big heart basically," she said.
Rivera says the 38-year-old father of two was a wonderful dad.
"He was such a hands-on father. Everything was about the boys - everything," she said.
On Friday July 18th, Sergio's family says he was walking home from a bar around 3:30 a.m. on the 1100 block of North 21st Street in Camden.
"Someone approached him and I don't know - words were exchanged and they shot him," said Rivera.
Sergio was shot multiple times and died at the hospital.
The Citizens Crime Commission is administering a $5,000 reward for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible.
All you need to do is call 215-546-TIPS (8477). All calls will remain anonymous.
As for Sergio's family, they say they don't plan on giving up in their search for answers.
"So we we're suffering. Everyday it's a struggle. This is not just going to go away. My little brother will have justice," said Rivera.
