LOS ANGELES -- A Cal State Long Beach student has been charged with five felony counts for stealing luggage from Los Angeles International Airport.

Airport police believe Ryan Green, 23, is responsible for multiple thefts from baggage claim areas at the Los Angeles airport. He was arrested Sunday for commercial burglary.

Investigators said they saw Green take a bag from a carousel in Terminal 5, walk to another terminal to grab another bag, before going to the handicap stall in a men's restroom to look through the bags.

Green allegedly then left the restroom and threw away the smaller bag. When he appeared to be leaving the airport by shuttle, airport police arrested him.

During an interview with detectives, Green admitted to taking the luggage and said he used his mother's "buddy pass" to fly from San Jose to LAX that same day.
