An eastern Pennsylvania prosecutor says weather conditions likely played a role in a crash that claimed the life of a 3-year-old girl.

HANOVER TWP., Pa. (WPVI) -- An eastern Pennsylvania prosecutor says weather conditions likely played a role in a crash that claimed the life of a 3-year-old girl.

Officials in Lehigh County said the crash involving a car and a pickup truck was reported shortly after 4:30 p.m. Saturday in Hanover Township.

District Attorney Jim Martin said 3-year-old Nevaeha Lydia Marie Rivera of Weatherly was strapped into a car seat that was ejected from one of the vehicles. She was pronounced dead at the scene. Her name wasn't immediately released. An autopsy was planned Monday.

Martin said alcohol is not believed to have been a factor, but a wet road following snow that afternoon likely played a role. He said there were indications that one of the vehicles went into a skid before the crash.
