Day care worker accused of abusing toddler
Linda Klemm, 48, is charged with child abuse

HOLIDAY, FL -- A Florida woman has been arrested, accused of kicking a toddler at a daycare, according to WFTS.

Linda Klemm, 48, is charged with child abuse. According to police, Klemm was working at Kids Stop and Play in Pasco County when she was captured on surveillance video kicking a sleeping 18-month-old.

The child's mother told investigators she dropped her daughter off at the day care on Saturday without any marks or injuries. When the child was picked up several hours later, the mother said she noticed abrasions under her eye and on the side of her face.

Police say a review of surveillance video showed Klemm intentionally kick the girl on the top of her head while she was sleeping. Klemm is later reportedly seen dragging her foot over the side of the child's face.

Police showed Klemm the video a dozen times.

"She wouldn't admit to kicking the child in the head, and when I would pause it and go frame by frame, she wouldn't admit to it," Detective William Wood said.

Detectives plan to review more video from the daycare's 16 cameras to see if there were any other incidents.

While the girl injured in this case won't be coming back to Kids Stop and Play, the owner says no other parents are pulling their kids out.
