Dept. of Justice to expand use of police body cameras

Many police departments nationwide will receive body cameras paid for by the federal government.

The Justice Department will award $20 million dollars to dozens of departments to buy the cameras and teach officers how to use them.

New attorney general Loretta Lynch said the new pilot program is crucial to promoting accountability amid growing allegations of police brutality.
