Despite brutal cold, people take plunge for good cause

Believe it or not, more than 2,000 people jumped into the Atlantic Ocean on Saturday despite brutally cold temperatures.

SEA ISLE CITY, N.J. (WPVI) -- Believe it or not, more than 2,000 people jumped into the Atlantic Ocean on Saturday despite brutally cold temperatures.

They took part in Sea Isle City's 22nd annual Polar Bear Plunge.

At the time of the dip, temperatures were hovering around 20 degrees. The water temperature, meanwhile, registered at a relatively balmy 37 degrees.
