Officials say a neighborhood dispute led to a shooting and police standoff in Southwest Philadelphia early Wednesday morning.

SOUTHWEST PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Officials say a neighborhood dispute led to a shooting and police standoff in Southwest Philadelphia early Wednesday morning.

The incident occurred just past midnight when two men got into a fight over a car.

Police say one of the men was armed and shot the other man in the ankle.

The shooter then ran into his house on Windsor Street and would not come out.

Police called in the SWAT team for assistance. It was learned two juveniles were inside the home with the gunman.

After negotiations with the suspect, he surrendered and was taken into custody.

The juveniles were unharmed.

The 27-year-old shooting victim was transported by police to Mercy Hospital in stable condition.
