Woman facing charges in Point Breeze double shooting

POINT BREEZE (WPVI) -- A woman is facing charges in connection with a double shooting in the Point Breeze section of Philadelphia.

The shooting happened just before 3 a.m. Monday in the 1800 block of Tasker Street.

Police say 50-year-old Debbie Nichols shot a 43-year-old woman in the shoulder and a 25-year-old man in the hand.

Both victims are in stable condition.

Nichols, who resides on the 1800 block of Dickinson Street, was taken into custody near the scene. Police say she will be charged with attempted murder and other related offenses.

There was no immediate word as to what sparked the shooting.
