Police say two dogs inside a vehicle may have played a part in a crash in Northeast Philadelphia early Thursday morning.

NORTHEAST PHILADELPHIA -- Police say two dogs inside a vehicle may have played a part in a crash in Northeast Philadelphia early Thursday morning.

The accident happened around 1:00 a.m. on the 7200 block of Algon Avenue.

According to police, a pair of dogs may have distracted the driver who collided with an oncoming vehicle.

She then slammed into two parked cars.

The unidentified woman was taken to the hospital in stable condition.

Her two dogs were not injured.

The crash is under investigation.
