Emotional embrace as woman consoles officer after Iowa shootings

URBANDALE, Iowa (WPVI) -- The communities of Des Moines and Urbandale, Iowa are mourning the loss of Des Moines Sergeant Anthony Beminio and Urbandale Police Officer Justin Martin.

Local TV station KCCI captured one emotional scene when a woman hugged an officer, gave him water and offered to pray for him.

Both were in tears.

According to Des Moines police, both officers appear to have been shot overnight while just sitting in their police cruisers.

Scott Michael Greene is a suspect in their shootings.

Authorities say the 46-year-old was captured alive in Dallas County, Iowa Wednesday morning after he flagged down a state employee on a road and asked to call 9-1-1.

He was transported to a hospital in Des Moines.
