Police are searching for a prisoner who escaped custody from New York Presbyterian Lower Manhattan Hospital Sunday night.

NEW YORK CITY (WPVI) -- Police are searching for a prisoner who escaped custody from New York Presbyterian Lower Manhattan Hospital Sunday night.

Tiffany Neumann, 23, was brought to the hospital around 9 a.m. Sunday after she complained to EMS of bruising.

She also told medics she was pregnant. It was not confirmed if she actually is.

Police say while receiving care at the hospital she fled.

Neumann was arrested Saturday for petty larceny, theft of service and criminal possession of stolen property.

She is described as 5' 3" tall and 120 lbs.

She was last seen wearing a hospital gown.
