LAWNSIDE (WPVI) -- A true Philadelphia hero was honored with a special tribute on Saturday.
It was the traditional "Return to Quarters" tribute - offered as a remembrance of fallen firefighter Joyce Craig.
Craig was the first female firefighter in Philadelphia to die in the line of duty.
She was killed battling a house fire last December in West Oak Lane.
Officials unveiled a memorial canvas to the members of Engine 64, where Craig served.
"We really, really, miss Joyce Craig. The members of Engine 64 have done a great job at trying to keep her memory going. And we want to make sure that we honor her family by the memorials," said Commissioner Derrick Sawyer.
Craig left behind a teenage son and a 3-year-old daughter.
