Fire damages home in Berks County, several displaced

HAMBURG, Pa. (WPVI) -- Officials say a 5-alarm fire damaged a home and displaced several residents in Hamburg, Pennsylvania early Friday morning.

The fire broke out around 3:00 a.m. on the 100 block of North 3rd Street.

Firefighters arrived and doused the flames within a half hour.

There were occupants inside the house but they were able to get out safely.

It's not clear on how many people were displaced.

So far, there is no word on injuries.

Investigators have not said what sparked the blaze.
