Action News is told a family who had just purchased the home, had not yet moved in because it was under renovation.

UPPER DARBY, Pa. (WPVI) -- Firefighters battled a blaze early Monday in Upper Darby.

The flames broke out after 2 a.m. in the back of a house in the 100 block of Ardmore Avenue.

Officials say the fire quickly spread to the roof. It went to two alarms before crews got the upper hand.

No one was hurt.
