Row house fire in West Philadelphia
Firefighters battled a row house fire in West Philadelphia.

WEST PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- The fire marshal is investigating an early morning fire in West Philadelphia.

The fire blaze broke out at 4:15 a.m. Saturday in the 1400 block of North Hirst Street.

Firefighters arrived to find flames shooting from the second floor of a row house.

A woman and her dog were rescued from the home.

The woman was not hurt.

The dog suffered an injury and is getting care from the Red Paw organization, which helps pets displaced by fires.
