Fire damages West Philadelphia home

WEST PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Fire officials are investigating a blaze that damaged a house in West Philadelphia.

The fire broke out around 7:30 p.m. in the 6100 block of Chestnut Street.

Heavy smoke was showing from a two story house on arrival.

The fire was brought under control within 20 minutes.

A pet cat was rescued by firefighters.

No injuries were reported.
