Fire in sports bar spreads to vacant homes in Kensington

Officials say a fire that started in a sports bar spread to two vacant homes in Philadelphia 's Kensington section early Saturday morning.

The blaze broke out around 3:30 a.m. on the 3000 block of Kensington Avenue.

Firefighters arrived to flames on the first floor of the Sol-Carobe bar which was under construction.

The fire then spread to the adjoining vacant homes before being placed under control.

There were no reports of any injuries.

Crews are still searching for what may have sparked the blaze.
