Flames erupt in basement of Southwest Philadelphia home

Officials say the Red Cross is helping seven people after a fire in a Southwest Philadelphia home late Wednesday night.

The fire broke out just before 11:00 p.m. on the 7300 block of Chelwynde Avenue.

The flames were contained to the basement of the home.

There were no reports of injuries.

So far, no word on what sparked the blaze.
