LONG ISLAND, N.Y. -- A Long Island, New York couple's friends surprised them with a gift that would change their lives forever.
Nicole and Kevin Barattini wanted to start a family, but Nicole has a rare autoimmune disease that prevents her from carrying a baby to term.
Kevin's longtime friend Shawn, and his wife Lianna learned about their struggle.
Lianna, a mother of five offered to be a surrogate for the Barattinis.
She said, "I love my kids and to see people that should have kids and couldn't have kids, it upset me."
Dominic and Luciana were born February 10.
Both families say the pregnancy and delivery could not have gone any better.
