PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- 228 years ago, our founding fathers signed the U.S. Constitution.
To celebrate, 50 immigrants pledged allegiance to the stars and stripes, becoming American citizens.
Thursday's naturalization ceremony is an annual part of Constitution Day activities at the National Constitution Center.
Dozens of family and friends were on hand for support.
The new citizens were also given lifetime memberships to the NCC as a gift.
