Gas leak forces evacuations of businesses in Burlington Co.

MEDFORD, N.J. (WPVI) -- Officials say a construction crew ruptured a gas line which forced the evacuation of several businesses in Medford, New Jersey.

It happened around 9 a.m. Tuesday near the intersection of Stokes and Dixontown roads.

The ruptured line caused a gas leak.

Stokes Road was shut down and some nearby businesses were evacuated.

South Jersey Gas responded and secured the leak.

No injuries were reported.
