Gas line rupture prompts evacuations in Galloway Twp.

GALLOWAY TWP., N.J. (WPVI) -- Several homes were evacuated after a gas line ruptured in Galloway Township, New Jersey.

The incident occurred on the unit block of Cherokee Drive around 2:00 p.m. Wednesday.

Officials say workers were installing underground cables for security cameras when they struck a gas line.

Several homes were evacuated and the gas company is on location capping the leak.

No injuries were reported.
