NORTHEAST PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- A cafeteria worker at George Washington High School has been arrested on drug charges, Philadelphia police say.

31-year-old Robert Lumpkin was charged with Possession and Possession with the Intent to Deliver.

On Tuesday, Philadelphia police received information from the Philadelphia School District police that an employee at George Washington High was distributing narcotics to students on the school premises.

Philadelphia police viewed surveillance video showing the employee engaging in a transaction with students. Police say it shows him then going into a bathroom with them for short periods of time.

Narcotics officers then set up surveillance on the school employee, later identified as Lumpkin.

On Wednesday, Lumpkin was stopped on the 4600 block of Whitaker Avenue for failing to use turn signal.

As a result of the investigation, a search warrant was also obtained for Lumpkin's home.

A total of $280 of marijuana was recovered from the vehicle and home.

He was arrested and taken into custody.
