A Pennsylvania man accused of killing his wife in front of their three young children pleaded guilty to second-degree murder on Tuesday morning.

WMFZ-TV reports Win Min Htut, 37, of Bethlehem, entered the plea in Lehigh County Court.

Police had said Htut shot and killed his wife, 37-yer-old Thida Myint, at their home in the 300 block of Central Park Avenue on December 17, 2013.

Their children, a 10-year-old, a 6-year-old and a 3-year-old, were there to witness the killing, investigators had said.

Then, according to police, Htut fled in his car with the 3-year-old, but officers found Htut and the child him a short time later at a convenience store. The child was not hurt.

Htut had been barred from entering the home by a Protection from Abuse Order filed on November 18th.

As part of the plea deal, Htut will be sentenced to life in prison without parole and will give up his right to appeal.
