FRANKFORD (WPVI) -- Police arrested a suspect for a home invasion in the Frankford section of Philadelphia after they caught the man with a stolen TV.

The incident occurred around 10:00 p.m. Saturday on the 4300 block of Roosevelt Boulevard.

A neighbor, who doesn't want to be identified, says she heard her door knob rattling.

She looked out a side window, saw two men, and called 911.

By then the burglars had gotten into the house next door.

They tied up an elderly couple inside and ransacked the house taking jewelry, cash and a television.

The police arrived, responding to the neighbor's 911 call, and were out front at the time.

The neighbor went out back and saw the burglars leaving.

She spoke to one of them.

"He said 'how you doing?' I said, 'Okay. How about you?' He said, 'Okay.' I waited till they passed me and I flew around the corner because all the cops were out front. I said, 'Will you guys hurry up? They're out back. They just came down the steps with the big flat screen TV," the neighbor said.

Police ran down the alley and caught the man with the television.

His partner ran off.

Police were back on the scene Sunday talking to neighbors and looking for more evidence.

Police say the burglars also tried to get into another house on the block.

And they broke into neighbor Jason Yates' car at the other end of the block.

"When you have to deal with that and you have children, of course that makes you unsafe. You have to protect yourself, be wise, and just be cognizant of things that can happen," Yates said.

Police continue to search for the second suspect.

They've been dusting for fingerprints and collecting video surveillance from some of the nearby houses.

The elderly couple was not injured.
