Injured baby hospitalized, man questioned in Northeast Philadelphia

NORTHEAST PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- A 5-month-old baby is hospitalized after showing signs of being physically assaulted, and police say they have questioned a man about the injured child.

It was around 10:15 p.m. Friday when the baby was taken by paramedics from an apartment building on the 8500 block of Marsden Street in Northeast Philadelphia.

The child is currently in stable condition at Saint Christopher's Hospital.

Philadelphia police say they questioned a man about the baby's injuries, but so far no charges have been filed, nor has it been determined if a crime was committed.

The investigation is ongoing.
