Laser pointed at pilot at Northeast Philadelphia Airport

NORTHEAST PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- A laser was aimed at a pilot attempting to land a plane at Northeast Philadelphia Airport Thursday night, police say.

It happened around 7:20 p.m. above the airport on the 3300 block of Grant Avenue.

Police say someone aimed a blue or white laser at the pilot.

The pilot managed to execute a safe landing on runway 24.

No one was injured.

Police believe the laser came from the area near Woodhaven and Thornton roads.
