Camden County authorities say light smoke forced eight stores to temporarily close in the Cherry Hill Mall Saturday night.

CHERRY HILL, N.J. -- Camden County authorities say light smoke forced eight stores to temporarily close in the Cherry Hill Mall Saturday night.

The incident happened around 8:00 p.m. in the Michael Kors store located on the 2000 block of Route 38 in Cherry Hill, New Jersey.

Officials ordered a partial evacuation after eight stores lost power.

The situation was brought under control in an hour and shoppers were allowed to return.

There were no injuries reported.

So far, there is no word if any of the stores were damaged.
