Lost wedding rings found at New Jersey dump

FAIRVIEW, N.J. (WPVI) -- A woman in New York went to extreme lengths to get her wedding ring back.

Shannon Lombardo accidentally threw her engagement ring and wedding band in the trash back on Saturday.

Once she realized the mistake, she sifted through her building's trash, but came up empty handed.

So Shannon and her husband ended up going to the dump in New Jersey where the trash was taken.

With help from three sanitation workers, they found the missing rings in less than an hour.
